I really enjoyed this story. But what I liked best was that the heroine did not quickly fall in love with the hero, and spent the rest of the book, wishing he would commit to her, like in so many romance books (too many as far as I am concern). This scenario would of spoiled the story for me.

I also liked that the heroine remained strong-willed throughout the book. I hate it when the book description states that the heroine is strong-willed (or words to that affect), but the instant she falls for the hero, she becomes a wimp, ready to do anything to win his love. Not in this book, the heroine was true to the description.

I truly liked that a lot of the story is done from the hero's point of view (a refreshing change). And while making love, there are a lot of his thoughts and enjoyment in the description. That was great.

I also love that the heroine was beautiful (but unlike so many romance heroines) she was tall as well. I am so tired that most romance heroines are portrayed as short, sometimes almost pathetically short.

In conclusion I found the story itself wonderful. The search for the lamp, and the hot, yet sweet and times funny way the hero and heroine fall in love, was totally entertaining for me. Great Book.

The Courtship Catherine Coulter 9780515127218 Books Reviews

Coulter at her finest!!
I have the whole series of books and now I am getting them for my kindle . This is a great series by Catherine.
I like all of her old books. She has the most amazing sense of humor. Keeps her stories interesting and not predictable at all. Love her!
Although not my favorite, actually one of my least favorites of Catherine Coulter, it still is a cute story.
I was very surprised about how much I enjoyed The Courtship. The relationship between Spencer and Helen was very exciting and comical at the same time. Lord Beecham has become one of my favorite characters. He and Tony are very entertaining.
I chose this rating because the writer is Catherine Coulter. I have tried to read every book she has written because I love her books especially her FBI series. I have missed some of her older ones but gradually I am finding them. I don't give away or sell her books to anyone. I keep them and reread them. Her first FBI books I have read at least 3 times. Her characters are funny, interesting and deep.
ENJOYING another book in the series. Gotta listen !to whole series when you enjoy it!
